HAPPY ENDING SYNOPSIS

Set firmly and clearly in the milieu of 2016, “Happy Ending” is the two-character story of a simple, benign and quite professional massage therapist who never knows who the next client might be. A dance of emotions and a tennis game of conflicting signals occurs when a new client walks in the door, full of hidden agendas and forbidden topics. Decorum is the standard and rules are rules, but rules are also made to be broken, unless you’re a cop. You’re not a cop, are you? Be honest. Or, perhaps most importantly, who’s really being truthful here? Note: full male nudity involved.

HAPPY ENDING CHARACTER BREAKDOWNS

Andy Lockhart

A 30-something massage therapist. Conscientious and ambitious, well-trained and knowledgeable about the human anatomy. Cautious and somewhat reserved, mostly due to the nature of his work. He’s average-to-good looking, sexually ambiguous and yet, by all standards, quite an upstanding citizen.

Mr. Miller

A 30-40 year old working man, straight to the core. Very clean, quite masculine and curious about the world, with a propensity for hard-work and attention to detail. He tends to be prone to nervous chatter, but is quite natural and relaxed once you get to know him.

AUDITIONS

Initial auditions will be via Skype and possibly in person depending on the applicant's location. Please read the script before sending in your resume. REPEAT - PLEASE READ THE SCRIPT BEFORE SENDING YOUR RESUME!!! (And note that both roles require extremely talented professionals, i.e. this is not for novices or beginning actors. Both parts also require you to be in excellent, above average physical shape as you will be nude onstage, and you need to come across as very, very masculine.

50 SHADES OF FELT - SYNOPSIS

“50 Shades of Felt” is based on an unnamed book that was turned into a movie of some renown… and yet it’s remains unlike anything you’ve ever seen. There are fornicating felties, mixed with bits of puppet anarchy in this irreverent, quirky, and innovative tale deemed mostly appropriate for mature audiences with immature tastes. Even though it dives into fur and felt and all things soft, there’s nothing soft about those naughty whips now, are there? Is this one for kids? Not just no, but hell no. Leave them at home and come get FELT up. You deserve it.

HAPPY ENDING SYNOPSIS

“White Boy” has been seen in a variety of venues across the country, from San Diego to New York City. It’s a love story that no one saw coming: a small town boy from Missouri moves to the big city and immediately falls for a Chicano gang member. White and brown, two colors and two cultures that should mix beautifully, yet it’s never quite that simple. Honest and provocative, funny and romantic in a way that might well surprise you. It touches on topics of today: racism and coming to terms with ones sexuality with just the perfect twist of fantasy. It offers an exploration into Latino culture and coming to terms with our inner desires that resonates and lingers.

WHITE BOY CHARACTER BREAKDOWNS

 PATRICK

White male, 20s. A sensitive gay writer/musician from small-town Missouri. Must be able to sing and play acoustic guitar. Handsome and loveable, but a bit neurotic. An over-thinker. Strong comedic skills (includes a campy drag number). A hopeless romantic who struggles to "fit in".

LOBO:
Latino male, 20s. A streetwise gangster from East Los Angeles. Muscular, brooding, hyper-masculine and intimidating. (Shaved head and tattoos a plus.) Vulnerable under his tough urban exterior. Struggles with his sexuality, and shares an intense physical love scene with Patrick (no nudity).

ROCCO
Latino male, 20s/30s. Cuban, sexy and sassy. A wise mentor of all things Gay Latino. Strong comedic timing. Must be a trained dancer (choreography skills a plus). NUDITY required (nonsexual) during an emotional monologue and solo dance sequence. Fearless, resilient, with deep cultural pride.

JUNIOR
Latino male, late teens/20s. A shy, sensitive gay youth. Masculine, vulnerable and adorable. Longs for a father figure, and struggles to open up about his difficult home life. A quiet soul who inspires everyone around him.

WALLY:
Latino Male, 20s. A sexy Central American go-go dancer. Campy, comedic and flirtatious. Usually shirtless. English is his second language. He doesn't speak often, but steals each scene with his body language and one-liners. Secretly the funniest and smartest guy in the room.
