Ronnie Larsen is an actor-director-playwright-producer whose work has been seen in every major city in America, as well as in Canada, Australia, Italy and London. Twelve of his plays have been produced and five have been seen Off-Broadway in New York City. He has also made a documentary that had theatrical runs at the Castro Theatre in San Francisco, Cinema Village in New York City and the Laemmle 5 in Los Angeles as well as showings at numerous film festivals in America, England and the Berlin Film Festival. The Big D - Synopsis

The Big D is a heartfelt and often hilarious love story written by Michael Mizerany, the award-winning writer of the short play 20 Minutes And Counting at The San Diego International Fringe Festival. After meeting in a bar, Todd and Charles begin a whirlwind romance full of passion, laughter, lust and sex. As they plan their wedding, a devastating secret challenges their devotion and the very foundation of their relationship. Contains adult content including profanity, sexual situations and male nudity.

Meet the Cast of The Big D

Gabriel Andrade

 

Gabriel Andrade (Todd) -  is a Brazilian-American actor, tap dancer and screenwriter currently residing in Los Angeles, CA. He is both thrilled and honored to join this production of ‘The Big D’. Outside of his weird art short films and random extra work on Glee, his musical regional credits include: World Goes ‘Round, 42nd street and Damn Yankees. 
 
He is eternally grateful to his family and friends for their tremendous love and support, which has become his main source of inspiration.

Grant Tambellini

Grant Tambellini (Chuck) is a Sacramento native and a New York based actor. A graduate of the two year Professional Workshop program at the Circle in the Square Theatre School, he has also studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London. Some of his recent credits include Nick in TWN's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, Nathaniel in the Off-Broadway production Bridget Bishop Presents: The Salem Bitch Trials, and Mr. Ryan in the award-winning short film Flowers, featured on HBO. Much love and gratitude to his stalwart friends and family.

Michael Mizerany is the artistic director for Compulsion Dance & Theater and an award-winning performer, choreographer and writer. Writing credits include Bedrooms and Boyfriends 1& 2, The Big D and Blind Spot (Compulsion Dance & Theatre). Choreography Credits: Altar Boyz (Noah Longton Productions), Dooley, Divine Sister, Miss Kitty’s Wild West Revue, Scrooge In Rouge, Thrill Me, Bare: A Pop Opera, A New Brain, Hot Guys Dancing 1-3 and In The Va Va Voom Room 1-3 (Diversionary Theatre); Chicago: A Speakeasy Cabaret, Grey Gardens, Ass, or A Midsummer Night’s Fever, Jesus Hates Me, Airline Highway and Cabaret (Ion Theatre); Carnvial!, Suds and Altar Boyz (The Coronado Playhouse); Spring Awakening, When The Rain Stops Falling, Stupid Fucking Bird and Shockheaded Peter (Cygnet Theatre); The Full Monty (New Village Arts); Rent (Southwestern College); West Side Story, Once On This Island, The Wiz and Hairspray: The Musical (J*Company). Michael has been the recipient of numerous awards and honors including the LA Stage Scene Award for Outstanding Choreography for Altar Boyz, Bare: A Pop Opera, A New Brain and Shockheaded Peter, The Blue Ribbon for Outstanding Choreography for Suds and Altar Boyz,, an Aubrey Award for Outstanding Choreography for Altar Boyz and the Bravo San Diego Award for Outstanding Choreographer of 2012 for Desperate Love and Altar Boyz,) and received a 2015 nomination for his contemporary work Man Clan. He was nominated for a Craig Noel Theater Award for Outstanding Choreography for Dooley (2011), Altar Boyz (2012), Spring Awakening and Bare: A Pop Opera (2014). He also won the 2016 San Diego International Fringe Festival Outstanding Writing Award for the first installment of Bedrooms & Boyfriends.
