The Off-Broadway Hit Comedy about the Gay Porn Industry

FOUR MORE WEEKS ONLY! THRU NOV. 27TH!

Making Porn, the sizzling Off-Broadway smash hit comedy about the gay pornography industry returns to San Francisco for a four-week limited engagement. Ronnie Larsen’s comedy explores the "in’s" and "out’s" of the gay adult porn business and examines the lives of six people Making Porn.  We are thrilled to be back in San Francisco after four wildly successful sold-out runs in 1995, 1996, 1997, and 2003.  Superstar Matthew Rush, who was the headliner in 2003 (the most recent time the play was in San Francisco), is coming back to town for his encore performance.

Matthew Rush, one of the biggest and hottest names in gay porn today, will be starring as Jack Hawk, straight actor turned gay porn icon.  This is the same role Matthew has played in Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Diego, and San Francisco.  After bursting onto the scene in 2002, Matthew became an award-winning actor and continues to be an icon in the industry today.  He is ecstatic to be back in San Francisco, and returning to Making Porn.

Making Porn received its world premiere at the Theatre Building in Chicago in July of 1995 where it became an instant sensation.  Productions then followed in Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Columbus, Denver, Detroit, Ft. Lauderdale, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis, New Orleans, New York, Palm Springs, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, Portland, Sacramento, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, and Washington, DC.  From 1995 to 2005, Making Porn played to sold-out houses and critical acclaim.  This will be one of the first productions of Making Porn mounted in more than five years.  Playwright Ronnie Larsen wanted to do his first re-mounting in San Francisco, which is the home of his very first play, Scenes From My Love Life.

For the San Francisco engagement, Making Porn also features playwright Ronnie Larsen who is reprising the role he played Off-Broadway, and many cities across the country including two previous mounting in San Francisco.  Joining the cast are Jared Scott, Noah Langton, Ivan Hardin, Ronnie Larsen and Sabrina De Mio.
